At the Corinne City Council meeting, the fire department and the Methodist Church restoration committee delivered operational updates and the council completed routine business including approval of previous minutes and vendor payments.
Council member Karen Caldwell presented the fire department’s December activity: 13 total calls (three outside city limits and 10 inside), including eight medical calls, three fires and two vehicle accidents. She said training during the month included medical-scenario exercises and CPR certification and recertification; Justin Davenport was named department member of the year for his commitment to training and response. Caldwell also noted that several local companies had installed Knox boxes and the department will post ordering information, and that the department continues to seek a replacement water tender.
Caldwell also reported on the Methodist Church restoration project’s fourth-quarter, end-of-year figures: revenue to date $348,246.86 and a remaining project budget reported as $20,106.39. She summarized completed exterior projects (entrance reface, roof, siding and exterior painting) and listed remaining items including gutter control, ADA ramp and sidewalk (a bid has been accepted), step railings, window repair and interior flooring/HVAC access work. The committee expects to use volunteers where possible to complete remaining tasks.
In routine business, Councilmember Karen Caldwell moved to approve the previous minutes as written; Tom Little seconded and the presiding official announced the motion carries. Kendra read a list of payroll and vendor checks for council review, including payments for the audit, transportation plan work and water/sewer parts; the council did not record a roll-call vote in the transcript. Tom Little moved to adjourn, Karen Caldwell seconded, and the presiding official closed the meeting.
No formal ordinances or contracts were adopted during the meeting; the council’s substantive policy discussions focused on ADU code changes and ambulance service options.
