Developer asks Emery County to accept wording edits for Hunter battery storage CUP; board to forward to commission

Joel Puritz, a DESRI project developer, told the Emery County Planning and Zoning Commission that the company submitted minor language edits to the conditional use permit (CUP) response letter for the Hunter (Clawson) battery-storage facility to make dates and wording consistent with other county projects and to correct typographical errors. Puritz said the edits do not alter substantive permit conditions.
Puritz described the project as being in early design and engineering phases and thanked the board for its earlier support. He said the edits were intended to "match the letters we've received from our other operating and in construction projects in the county" and "not changing anything substantive to the permit itself or what it entails." County staff indicated they would double-check details with the absent zoning administrator before final county-commission action.
A commissioner moved that the board take the revised CUP response letter to the county commission for final approval and the motion passed unanimously on the record.
