Commissioners also noted that if the county becomes the event sponsor or contract holder, procurement requirements and contract terms will determine county exposure and obligations.
The commission did not take a formal vote to adopt the rodeo as a county-run event. Commissioners asked staff to place the item back on a future agenda after the organizer and volunteers provide the requested committee roster, budget and contractor/insurance details.
