Council members discussed logistics and attendance challenges—noting prior field trips sometimes drew only one or two attendees—and agreed to August to capture summer visitation and camping activity.
Separately, the council discussed trail‑counter data collected by county‑installed counters. Staff said most counters were purchased two to three years ago and several date back to 2018; they can provide monthly, weekly or daily breakdowns. The council requested a presentation with pre‑COVID/COVID/post‑COVID comparisons; staff committed that Andy will prepare that presentation for the September meeting.
