Commissioners expressed unanimous support to move forward with an RFP. Staff said the RFP responses will be processed through the county’s standard procurement procedures and any contract award will return to the commission for approval.
Next steps: procurement staff will issue the RFP and return to the commission with recommended respondents and contract terms for final decision; the county expects to begin demolition or construction in the year following vacancy of the parcel.
