The Daniel Town Council voted May 5 to accept responsibility for 4 acre-feet of leased water from Central Utah Water so that a proposed Wasatch Mobile Home Park can proceed toward permitting. Eric told the council the 4 acre-feet would be divided to provide ten hookups; the council moved to accept the shares and turned them over to the town so the developer can obtain permits.
Council members discussed financial and operational details: Eric said the town could bill those mobile-home hookups at the Storm Haven tier rate (8,000 gallons baseline) and pass the lease cost through to residents. He noted the lease is not permanently guaranteed by Central Utah Water and that leases can be adjusted; the council identified last year’s lease amount at about $836 per year. "$10,000 per hookup," a council member observed as the Division of Drinking Water grant amount under discussion that could offset construction costs.
