Daniel council continues short‑term rental hearing for 487 Cobble Creek Lane, bars rentals until next meeting

A property representative told the council they had retained attorney Mark Wagner and asked for a continuance so the attorney could represent them at a future hearing. The representative said their "intent is to comply with all of with you guys" and asked the council to meet privately with counsel before the next hearing.
A council member moved to continue the hearing to the Feb. 2 meeting and to add a stipulation that short‑term rentals not be operated at the property until the council reconvenes on the item; another member seconded the motion. The presiding officer called the roll and the motion carried by voice vote with affirmative votes recorded from the members present.
The continuation preserves the council’s opportunity to review proposed representations and any additional documentation the owner and counsel present at the February meeting. The council did not take formal enforcement action at the Jan. 5 meeting beyond the temporary stipulation attached to the continuance.
