The Kern County Planning Commission on a 4–1 voice vote recommended approval of a conditional use permit allowing an agricultural trucking facility on a roughly five-acre parcel in the Rosedale area and recommended denial of a proposed seasonal almond-hull storage operation.
Staff presented the application from Mormigos LLC (Vanderpool & Associates) seeking authorization for (1) an agricultural trucking facility with a maximum of 21 truck and trailer parking stalls and (2) a seasonal almond-hull storage and distribution operation on the NR-5–zoned parcel south of Snow Road, about 620 feet east of Ennis Lane. Staff said prior code-enforcement actions began in 2021 and that a CUP was filed in June 2023 after a prior case lapse.
Miss Simon, the staff presenter, summarized the proposal and the department's technical review.
