The Board of City Commissioners on Jan. 13 approved several routine and contested consent items.
Commissioners approved two alcohol-licensing matters after public hearings: an F-1 alcohol license for Gapland Enterprises LLC, doing business as Tufts Pub and Grub (owners Neil and Tiffany Galpin answered questions), and a Class B-5 license for Dirty Bean LLC (Classic Rock Kitchen & Coffee). Both licenses were moved, seconded and approved by roll call.
The commission also accepted staff's recommendation to award Street Improvement District 592 (street lighting for 2026) to Denny's Electric LLC, the low bidder at $864,942. Staff had opened four bids and recommended the low bidder.
On item D6, commissioners approved an amendment to an outside-management contract with Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) to shorten the engagement from the originally proposed five months to 60 days and to designate City Administrator Jason Timonic as the city's sole point of contact for that contract. The amendment was moved, seconded and approved by roll call.
These items passed by unanimous roll calls recorded during the meeting.
