Commission staff reviewed the resource delineation and restoration measures in the existing order and recommended a three-year extension because the protective provisions remain appropriate.
Commissioners discussed whether additional or updated conditions should be appended but were advised that the legal options for the commission were limited to extending, allowing the order to lapse, or denying the extension under specific statutory criteria (310 CMR 10.058). Given the history and the degree of prior restoration identified in the record, the commission concluded a three-year extension was warranted.
A roll-call vote approved the extension unanimously.
