Daggett County commissioners reviewed and approved routine financial items at their March 25 meeting, including the cash summary, an adjusted open invoice register and two disbursement listings.
Finance staff explained that UDOT requested the county not return a $946,173.92 refund at this time; commissioners agreed to subtract that amount from the open invoice register while staff follow up. After adjustments for the Municipal Building Authority and the withheld UDOT transaction, staff presented an adjusted payable amount for the county and RDA of roughly $170,370.35 and the commission moved to approve the open invoice register.
Commissioners also approved a small reimbursement register for $363.55 and a disbursement listing covering March 13–24, 2025, totaling $159,593.88 (with an $85 void). Each item was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Why it matters: The UDOT transaction prompted an accounting adjustment; withholding that refund alters cash‑flow and requires staff follow‑up to ensure the transaction is completed correctly without delaying county obligations.
What’s next: Staff will follow up with UDOT and the treasurer’s office to reconcile the withheld refund and finalize the invoice register.
