During discussion, commissioners asked whether inspector and plan review fees were included; Speaker 9 clarified that building permit and plan review fees remain separate and that the proposed schedule addresses the land‑use application layer. Speaker 2 said he was "comfortable" approving the recommendation after reviewing the comparisons.
Speaker 2 moved and a second was recorded to approve the planning commission's recommendation (cited in a letter dated 04/15/2025); the motion carried on a voice vote with ayes recorded.
Staff said the fees will help the county meet new state subdivision timelines and provide clearer checklists for applicants, and will allow the county some flexibility to adjust fees as inspector and contractor costs change.
