Unidentified Speaker 4 said the county added approximately $5,000 to the rate the commission had previously approved.
Members discussed how often the contracted representative should meet with the county (virtual versus in‑person) and whether the agreement would be renewed annually or on a longer cycle. Lance (addressed directly in the meeting) said he is willing to meet virtually or in person and that his office has generally stayed under budget in past years.
The board noted that no county signatures had been collected at the time of the discussion and that the agreement would be circulated for final signatures after review. Unidentified Speaker 3 moved to approve the MOA and the motion carried.
The MOA will be filed in county records after signatures and the commission asked staff to review spending trends again next year to determine the appropriate renewal cadence.
