The Daggett County Commission approved two completed business licenses and a contract in the July 3 meeting. The chair presented Item 2 — completed business licenses for Flaming Gorge Community Foundation and CNH Cowboy Construction — and the commission approved both after a motion and second.
The commission then considered Item 3, the FY26 MRRC contract for monument preservation, which Speaker 1 said was requested by the recorder’s office; Speaker 3 moved to approve the fiscal-year 2026 MRRC contract and the motion passed by voice vote.
Speaker 1 also reported a request from Jesse for a closed-session discussion but said Kent was in court and that the discussion would likely be more productive if rescheduled. Later in the meeting Speaker 1 said they had contacted Matt and told him he could proceed with work in the easement, and that Matt expressed appreciation.
Commissioners took no additional formal action on the closed-session request at this meeting.
