Daggett County Commission approves routine financial items, recesses into MBA

At its Aug. 5 meeting the Daggett County Commission approved minutes, acknowledged cash and accounts receivable, authorized an open invoice register and a disbursement summary, and recessed to the Municipal Building Authority (MBA) meeting at 9:15 a.m.
The Daggett County Commission convened Aug. 5 and approved a set of routine financial and procedural items before recessing for the Municipal Building Authority meeting.
Speaker 5 moved and Speaker 1 seconded to enter and exit the Redevelopment Agency (RDA) meeting; the motion carried with ayes recorded. The board then approved minutes from the July 29, 2025 commission and RDA meetings after a motion by Speaker 5 and a second by Speaker 1.
On finance matters, the board acknowledged receipt of the cash summary and accounts receivable report as of Aug. 1, 2025 following a motion by Speaker 5 and second by Speaker 1. Speaker 5 also moved to approve the open invoice register dated Aug. 4, 2025 "in the amount of $109,964.19," and Speaker 1 seconded; ayes were recorded. The meeting transcript later contains a slightly different figure ($109,904.19) in one speaker’s repetition; the commission approved the register as presented during the meeting without an itemized correction recorded.
The board also approved the disbursement summary dated July 24 to Aug. 4, 2025 in the amount of $15,135.83 after a motion by Speaker 5 and second by Speaker 1. No purchase requests were presented. The board discussed calendar items and correspondence, including a potential Aug. 19 work meeting/presentation from Lori Brown and a tentative bike-path meeting with UDOT.
Speaker 1 announced a recess at 9:15 a.m. to convene the Municipal Building Authority (MBA) meeting; the commission paused the county session for that item.
