Speaker 1 introduced an informational correspondence from a company called Cobblestone Software. “It's a company called Cobblestone Software. It's contract management. It's a tool for keeping track of contracts,” Speaker 1 said, and asked whether engineers already use such tools and whether the commission wants more information.
Speaker 1 suggested this type of oversight was part of his original vision for a commission assistant, a role that commissioners later said has evolved and is not currently staffed to perform ongoing contract tracking. Speaker 4 said the commission has never been able to incorporate that role into the position, and Speaker 3 confirmed the current staffing situation is different.
No decision was made to request a demonstration or to initiate procurement. Speakers suggested staff follow up if commissioners want more information.
