Daggett County MBA approves AV system and custom furniture for clinic

Daggett County’s Municipal Building Authority on March 18 approved two purchase requests for the county’s Health and Social Services Center, authorizing a $54,393.70 audio-visual system and $29,593.65 in custom furniture.

The board voted to buy the AV equipment from Atkinson Sound under a state purchasing contract. Speaker 5, who presented the request, said the system “is fully controllable and splittable” so separate conferences can run simultaneously and noted the purchase covers equipment and later on-site installation, with a one-year workmanship warranty and manufacturer warranties to be honored. The presenter also said the county’s IT staff will be involved for troubleshooting after installation.

Speaker 2 moved to approve the Atkinson Sound purchase and Speaker 1 seconded; the motion passed after an affirmative voice vote. The board then approved a second purchase to Hahn Company LLC (reseller Desks Incorporated) for custom-ordered furniture to fit clinic spaces. Speaker 5 said visuals of the layout are available for officials to review and that partners who will use the space have been consulted. The furniture purchase was made under state purchasing contract MA33970 and assigned to the Saint Paulson Social Service Center project code.

Both purchases were presented as part of the clinic project’s procurement plan and will be procured through state contract terms. No dissenting votes were recorded in the transcript.

Next steps noted in the meeting included processing purchase orders, arranging storage and delivery, and scheduling installation when the building is ready.
