Rodeo committee donates to Daggett County Centennial Museum, boosts search-and-rescue funding

"So for with our name being Daggett Heritage Rodeo, we feel compelled as well as the desire to support the museum," the rodeo committee representative said. The representative also asked "Jesse" to come forward and acknowledged Search and Rescue for responding to incidents during the event, saying their work was "tremendous" and that the committee wanted to support the team financially.
Speakers singled out local volunteers and organizers by name, thanking "Donald Powelson" and "Carrie" and their families for what the speaker called consistent, essential effort. Committee and meeting attendees also described a larger-than-usual effort to feed sponsors, contestants and volunteers during the rodeo, calling the meal service a long-standing ranch tradition and an important practical and community-building feature of the event.
The donations were presented as community support rather than a county appropriation; no formal board action on the donations was recorded during the meeting. The committee representative asked the county to pass along thanks to Search and Rescue and other volunteers.
