Survey shows Mantua owns parcels through Ventures area; council advised to seek legal counsel

"That's actually Mantua real property," Matt said, describing multiple parcels that the council had previously assumed were rights-of-way.
Councilors discussed implications for opening a road or otherwise changing access and were advised to consult the town attorney. A councilor noted that even if a parcel has not been used or has fences across it, ownership remains with the town unless a formal transfer occurred. The council agreed additional legal review is necessary before taking any action to declare or open roads across those parcels.
