Mantua council approved several routine administrative items, including accepting the certified tax rate and approving business license applications and vendors for the upcoming Little Valley Days event.
A councilor moved to accept the certified tax rate provided by Box Elder County; the motion proceeded without recorded objection. The council then approved business license applications from Karen Hudson and Carolee Moss for a $25 license fee. Later in the meeting staff presented vendor packets for Little Valley Days; a motion to approve vendors that had submitted applications was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Councilors noted that not all vendors on the event list had submitted applications and said they would approve only the completed filings. Staff said they will circulate the remaining applications and follow up with vendors whose paperwork is incomplete.
What’s next: staff will send outstanding business-license and vendor applications to councilors and confirm the Little Valley Days vendor roster.
