Unidentified Speaker 1 (meeting participant) told the Daggett County Municipal Building Authority that the clinic construction contract was approved in a prior meeting with red-line changes incorporated and that staff were working to get the builder and county signatures finalized.
The authority’s update said county staff had signed documents in preparation for a bond closing with the Community Investment Board (CIB) scheduled the same day. According to staff, once the bond closes the county will be able to request reimbursements tied to the project and move the contract fully into execution.
Members discussed a ceremonial groundbreaking targeted for July 8. Logistics talked through included providing lunch for attendees, inviting the broader community, and the possibility of recessing a commission meeting to allow officials to participate. Unidentified Speaker 3 and staff volunteered to coordinate notices, hard hats and ceremonial shovels.
"We did approve the contract in the meeting last week with some red line changes that Bart and his office has been… implementing into the contract, and then working to get the builder to sign it, and then it'll send it over to me to sign," said Unidentified Speaker 1.
No formal vote on the contract or the groundbreaking date was recorded in this meeting; the contract approval referred to action taken at the prior meeting. The only formal finance action tied to this item reported at today’s meeting was the staff note that bond-related funds and a PTIF account had been set up in anticipation of closing.
Next steps: staff expected to finalize signatures after the bond closing, to post event notices for the July 8 groundbreaking, and to coordinate any required administrative follow-up. The meeting adjourned without further action on the contract.
The authority’s packet and meeting discussion did not include a copy of the fully executed contract in the record presented during this meeting.
