Board approves salary adjustments, ordinance changes and accepts donated RV for probation
Summary

Item 31: Judy Hawkins, Human Resources and Risk Director, presented a resolution adjusting salaries for the assessor, auditor-controller, county clerk-recorder, district attorney, sheriff, and treasurer-tax collector effective Nov. 1, 2025. The board moved and approved the resolution with a recorded vote (noted in the minutes as 4—61).
Item 32: HR introduced and waived first reading of an ordinance amending county code sections on employment of family members and holiday language to align policy with memoranda of understanding; the board authorized summary publication.
Item 34: Public Works requested renewal of an ordinance delegating authority to the Public Works Director to negotiate real-property easements and transactions up to $25,000. Supervisors discussed statutory limits and the renewal passed.
Item 30: The board accepted a donation of a 2023 Thor Freedom Elite RV valued at $77,650 from The Resource Connection to be used by the Probation Department; staff said the vehicle will improve mobile services to clients.
