Regional site-readiness grant: Director Harrell announced the city was awarded a $3,000,000 regional site-readiness grant through DCEO to prepare a 154-acre industrial-ready site at the south end of town. The project would extend Airport Road about 1,500 feet and add water, sewer and a traffic signal at the Airport Road intersection; local match is 20% (about $750,000) and design would begin after a grama agreement in roughly six months.
