Council approves routine consent items, schedules events and recesses to executive session

Economic Development reported that the city's enterprise zone annexation was approved quickly by the state and that contractors and developers have been notified.
Public comment and executive session: Mark Meggett addressed the council about the 1% proposal, urging the city to consider school needs when spending revenue. The meeting concluded with a motion and second to recess to executive session for litigation under 5 ILCS 120/2(c); the motion passed on roll-call votes.
