City awards Evergreen Avenue box culvert contract to A and R Services for $728,940

City Engineer Tate told the council the Evergreen Avenue box culvert replacement project drew seven bidders and that A and R Services submitted the low bid of $728,940. "A and R Services is the low bid at $728,940," Tate said, and indicated work would likely start around April, subject to usual contingencies.
Council moved and seconded a resolution accepting the proposal and voted in favor. Council members commented that the project will reopen roadside area and improve the adjacent bike path connections.
Next steps: staff will finalize the contract with A and R Services and schedule construction work to begin as weather and permitting allow.
