Board delays decision on 60‑lot Pearson redevelopment after weeks of public concern over school impacts and drainage

After more than three hours of presentation, questions and public comment, the Glenview Board of Trustees voted Feb. 4 to continue consideration of a proposed 60‑lot residential development at 1900 East Lake Avenue to the board's Feb. 18 meeting.

Director Jeff Brady presented the proposal as a clustered single‑family subdivision that would rezone the former Pearson/Scott Forsman site from I‑2 to R‑6, create 60 lots (7,500–21,000 square feet), and add a new signalized connection to Sequoia Trail. The developer and staff described site features including stormwater detention basins, preserved trees along the eastern boundary, about 174 parkway trees proposed, sidewalks and traffic calming neck‑downs. The applicant’s fiscal analysis used the local version of the Naperville model to calculate school and park impact fees.
