The Glenview Board of Trustees appointed Vincent Wilk to the village’s Development Commission and publicly recognized longtime volunteer Katie Siegel at its April 15 meeting.
President opened the meeting by thanking public-safety telecommunicators and then presented a formal recognition to Katie Siegel for nearly two decades of volunteer service across multiple village commissions, including the Historic Preservation Commission, the zoning board of appeals and the Development Commission. The president credited Siegel with participation in more than 150 zoning-board meetings and nearly 225 total meetings across her civic service; Siegel spoke briefly, thanked the community and was applauded.
The president then nominated Vincent Wilk, a first-time commission member and 18-year Glenview resident, describing Wilk as an attorney with experience in commercial and technology transactions, intellectual property and regulatory compliance. Trustee Bland moved to appoint Wilk to the Development Commission and Trustee Dorn seconded; the board approved the appointment by voice vote. Wilk repeated the oath of office and was congratulated by trustees.
The appointment fills an at-large seat on the Development Commission; no committee assignments or term details were provided in the meeting record.
