Residents urge Yavapai supervisors to oppose Perkins Ranch airfield proposal near Chino Valley

David Wilkin urged the board to use available tools to discourage the project and asked whether the board would consider a resolution condemning the proposal or otherwise supporting residents’ efforts to preserve property values.
Board members fielded public comment but noted the airport proposal lies within the Town of Chino Valley’s jurisdiction. One supervisor indicated they had been in contact with Chino Valley officials. The board did not vote or adopt a formal position during the meeting; speakers asked the board to take further action to support affected residents.
The comments were registered during the board’s public-comment period and were not followed by immediate board action.
