Parks said the FAFSA is available in English and Spanish, and noted that the federal student aid office provides interpretation services in about 11 other commonly spoken languages. A trustee pointed out a wording error in the draft policy: the acronym was expanded incorrectly in the text; staff agreed to correct it to "Free Application for Federal Student Aid." Trustees also confirmed the policy wording is intended to apply to the class of 2026 only, reflecting that the supporting grant is for one year.
