The Ann Arbor Public Schools Board of Education approved two budget measures during its meeting: the 2024–25 final budget amendment and the 2025–26 proposed general fund and special revenue budgets. Trustees moved and seconded the resolutions; roll-call votes recorded unanimous support for the presented budgets.
Board members noted there were no substantive changes to the budgets as presented and thanked business‑operations staff for bringing the final numbers close to projections. Trustee Schmidt moved to adopt the 2024–25 final budget amendment; Trustee Wilkerson later moved to adopt the proposed 2025–26 budgets. Both motions passed following roll-call votes.
In a separate portion of the agenda, the board received the results of the superintendent evaluation facilitated via the Michigan Association of School Boards tool. Facilitator Mister Bennett summarized scores across governance, community relations, staff relations, business and finance, and instructional leadership; professional‑practice and student‑growth measures produced an overall score the board reported as 96 percent and an “effective” rating. Trustee Schmidt moved to accept the rating; the board approved the evaluation by roll call.
Board leadership said the evaluation will be submitted to the state as required by statute. No agenda action materially altered budget figures at the meeting.
Next steps: the adopted budgets will be posted in board records and the superintendent evaluation will be filed as required; the district will continue routine staffing and implementation decisions tied to the adopted budgets.
