Trustees ultimately voted to add the stages discussion to the July 30 meeting so the entire board could hear teachers’ recommendations and ask questions. Trustee Mohammed made the motion; Trustee Wilkins supported it.
Administrators said district capital‑program staff and project managers from Gilbane had participated in advisory meetings and that further engagement would continue. The board requested the teachers’ open letter and other documentation be provided to trustees and staff in advance of the July 30 discussion.
