Separately, the committee approved professional liability insurance for the public defender’s office with coverage limits and an annual premium described in the meeting packet. Commissioners asked clarifying questions about budget treatment and whether the grant money was previously budgeted; staff said the award represented additional unbudgeted revenue to be applied to the contract.
