Later in the meeting Speaker 5 presented claims in the amount of $165,519.98, noting the total covered bridge work among other items; the board moved and approved the claims by voice vote.
During public comment, Speaker 3 thanked a community contact for locating used anhydrous tanks at scrap price, describing plans to repurpose one as a culvert/entrance improvement at Jefferson County Park and noting the county would pay crane and transport costs.
Separately, staff reported unanticipated DOT reimbursements and other income totaling several hundred thousand dollars; Speaker 3 said the county would likely bring a budget amendment to reflect the extra revenue and allocate additional rock for spring maintenance.
Next steps: staff will process data-release forms per HHS/ISAC procedures, post claims to the county ledger and prepare any necessary budget amendments to reflect extra income and related expenses.
