Speaker 2 opened the meeting and moved to approve the minutes from the previous session; the motion was seconded and passed on a voice vote. The board then considered a resolution to abate $242 in taxes erroneously charged to parcel 1002101001 in the Deer Creek Subdivision after a software-transfer error; Speaker 2 said the parcel should have been tax-exempt and moved to update the tax record. That motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Separately, the board approved a bond/credit-line to legalize a minor subdivision (about 14.7 acres split) and authorized the county to proceed with payment on an outstanding audit invoice related to Jackson Pointe. The board also authorized a motion to move forward with a grant application for a dam project on Quince Boulevard (see separate coverage of the Quince Boulevard proposal).
At the end of the meeting the board approved claims in the amount of $187,087.70 by voice vote. Several other administrative requests were acted on by the board via motions and voice approvals during the session.
