Ordinance 45-20-25, authorizing improvements to the city’s sewage works and issuance of additional revenue bonds, passed on its second reading with an 8–0 roll-call vote after a brief staff presentation by Utility Director Dave Henderson. The measure authorizes acquisition, construction and financing of specified sewage-works improvements and related actions.
Resolution 21-20-25 approved the transfer of funds between budget categories with no net change to the municipal budget (8–0). Resolution 22-20-25, sponsored by Councilors Burr and Schenkel, affirmed First Amendment protections and declared West Lafayette a “free to read” city in support of the West Lafayette Public Library; Library Director Mara Honeywell described robust circulation and programming and the council approved the resolution 8–0.
Resolution 23-20-25 reappropriated prior Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding from several grant years to a parks-improvement project after review by the CDBG Advisory Board; the council approved it 8–0. Finally, Ordinance 46-20-25 (LV Collective Chauncey Annex redevelopment) was tabled at petitioner request to December so the petitioner could work through affordable-unit commitments.
