Planning commission approves two expedited rezonings, sends Hunting Hawk recommendations to supervisors

Both recommendations were recorded with voice votes and no opposition and will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for final action.
Those approvals preceded the lengthy public hearing on the Hunting Hawk Technology Park, which drew large turnout and resulted in the planning commission recommending denial of the comprehensive plan amendment, rezoning and conditional use permit for that project. The commission’s actions on all three Hunting Hawk items will be sent to the Board of Supervisors for consideration at a February hearing.
