Albany City boards advertise water bids and award multiple city contracts

The Board of Crown Capital Supply and the Albany Water Board authorized advertisements for multiple solicitations and approved several contract awards during a Nov. 18 meeting in Albany City.
Unidentified Speaker, who led the session, read resolutions directing the secretary to advertise bids for filtration-plant supplies serving the Filtration Plant and the Loughlin and Feralde reservoirs, with proposals due at a regular meeting scheduled for Dec. 2, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. The board also directed advertising for additional water and sewer supplies for 2026 and for a property installation at 628 Delaware Avenue, each with a required bid deposit of 5% of the total bid by certified check or bid bond.
The board awarded a purchase-and-installation contract for a fuel distribution system to Durable Incorporated for $198,500.00 and approved a golf-cart lease for $99,456.32 as read into the record. The board also accepted a $69,080 bid for bulbs and related landscaping materials (transcribed as awarded to "Schipper in Company US Incorporated") and accepted a low bid of $633,407.50 from Seal Cove US for court resurfacing at City Parks.
The board approved Change Order No. 2 to the Washington Park playground contract (Contract No. 9437, Carver). The change order increases the contract price by $24,964.37 to address extended fence rental, additional materials and relocating borders near fall zones; the new contract value was read in the meeting as $328,500.91. No change to the project completion date was proposed.
All contracts and awards were accepted as the lowest qualified bids as read into the record; the mayor was authorized to sign awarded contracts on behalf of the city. Several bid advertising dates and deposit requirements were clarified during the session.
