The Flower Hill Board of Trustees took a series of routine but formal actions at its Sept. 9 meeting. Key outcomes:
- Approved the minutes of the Aug. 5 meeting (one abstention by Trustee Smith). - Approved claims after review. - Approved a permit for the Manhasset Women's Coalition Against Breast Cancer 5K on Oct. 6, 2024 (insurance on file). - Approved the continued services and appointment of building-department consultant Jerry Tangredi, subject to a signed agreement. - Approved the annual court-audit resolution required by state rules. - Approved submitting a JCAP court grant application (up to $30,000) for bathroom upgrades, a security monitor and accessibility improvements. - ARC findings for several projects were approved and the board approved the specific 129 Chestnut item (with abstentions where members had conflicts). - Local Law 6 of 2024 (amending tree definitions) was opened for discussion but not voted on because revised language was not provided seven days before the meeting; the board held the item over to the Oct. 7 meeting for further review.
Each approval was made by motion and recorded on the public transcript; the board moved on to further agenda items after each action.
