Villa Park High School showcases programs and invites community to SpartaCon

Students, staff and the principal from Villa Park High School presented the board with a video spotlight and in-person remarks celebrating academic and extracurricular offerings.
Alexander Tran, the student board member representing Villa Park, described the school as having more than 2,300 students and highlighted the breadth of programs, including more than 31 AP courses and a wide variety of CTE pathways. Teacher Jamie Caros and art instructor Ingrid Shine described award-winning visual and performing arts programs and opportunities for students to pursue specialized coursework.
Principal Dennis McKuson invited the board and community to SpartaCon, an open-house showcase scheduled for January 29 from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m., and emphasized staff commitment to maximizing each student's potential. "Our drive for success as Spartans has spurred a sense of spirit and community," a presenter said.
Board members thanked the students and staff and recognized the presentation as an example of school pride and student engagement.
The presentation included student interviews and examples of student-produced media used in the video; staff noted that some musical and audio elements were produced in-house.
