The Upper Darby School District Board of School Directors approved its previously posted agenda, adopted the facilities report and deferred online public comments to the relevant committee during a short voting meeting on Feb. 2.
The board opened the meeting and confirmed that the agenda had been posted to BoardDocs at least 24 hours before the session. "Is there a motion to approve that previously posted agenda?" asked Speaker 1; a motion was made (SEG 005) and seconded by Speaker 2 (SEG 006). There were no amendments offered and the board approved the agenda by voice vote (SEG 008–015).
The facilities report — introduced in the meeting with a reference to Director Vice President Murphy Morrissey — was described by a board member as having been distributed to each board member and made available to the public. "The facilities report is in the hands of each board member and has been made available to the public. I move for its adoption," said Speaker 2 (SEG 018–020). Speaker 1 seconded the motion (SEG 021) and the board approved the adoption by voice vote (SEG 022–028).
Later in the meeting a board member noted there were no members of the public present to offer live comment, and reported that online comments addressed the same topic that had been deferred during committee meetings. Speaker 3 recommended that those online comments be forwarded to the same committee at its next meeting; Speaker 1 agreed to defer the online comments to that committee (SEG 033–044).
With no further new or old business raised, Speaker 2 moved to adjourn (SEG 050) and a second was recorded (SEG 051). The board voted in favor of adjourning and the meeting ended (SEG 052–054).
No numeric vote tallies or individual roll-call votes were recorded in the transcript; all recorded actions were resolved by voice vote.
