North Hempstead board adopts grouped agenda items and a personnel resolution; item 43 struck from personnel action

The Town of North Hempstead Town Board voted July 1 to adopt a block of routine agenda items and later approved a personnel resolution after one sub-item was stricken.

At the start of the business portion the board agreed to call items 1 through 55 together, excluding item 52. During public comment a resident raised item-specific concerns (for example, a stop sign/stop line request for Laney Place, noted as item 18). The clerk then read the grouped items and a motion was made to adopt the called items as presented. A roll call produced recorded "aye" votes from Councilman Walsh, Councilman Liu, Councilman Adami and Councilman Delimonte; the motion carried.

The board then considered item 52, a personnel resolution. During discussion the clerk and board members noted that item 43 had been included in error and that it should be stricken from the personnel resolution. A council member stated the removal reflected a human resources correction rather than a policy decision.

Councilman Walsh moved to adopt the personnel resolution as amended (with item 43 removed). Recorded votes on the amended personnel resolution showed Councilman Walsh, Councilman Liu, Councilman Davie (also recorded as "Demi" in the transcript) and Councilman Delimonte voting aye and Councilman Scott recorded as voting no. The clerk completed the roll call and the personnel resolution was adopted as amended.

With no further business, a motion to close the meeting was offered and carried by voice votes of the present council members. Supervisor DeSena presided at the meeting close.

The board did not discuss or vote on any new ordinances or capital projects at this meeting; the adopted items were presented as routine consent and administrative matters.
