The Town of North Hempstead approved an applicant's appeal to modify a dock at 3 North Court in Port Washington, adopting the Waterfront Advisory Committee's recommendation that pilings be angled northward to align flow parallel to the neighboring dock.
Jonathan Singer, representing Candace Harris, asked the board to approve a modest floating‑dock extension that would increase usable length while moving two pilings by only a few inches; he said neighbors had no objections. The waterfront committee reviewed the application on May 12, 2025, and recommended approval with the angled‑pilings condition, a recommendation Singer said the applicant accepted.
The board closed the public hearing and adopted the resolution approving the dock appeal by roll call.
