The Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission approved a series of routine personnel resolutions and job-evaluation items at its Nov. 20 session.
The commission adopted the consent agenda (resolutions FPC 212269–FPC 212276) by general consent, covering meeting minutes and multiple appointment and recruitment bulletins for the Milwaukee Police Department.
Key personnel actions approved by motion included:

DER also presented and the commission approved reclassifying inventory control staffing for MPD from two positions to one with upgraded responsibilities (Item 16, FPC 212285).
• Personnel actions in the police department included promotions and extensions: the commission approved promoting Michael Lambert to electronic technician supervisor (Item 21, FPC 212291) by roll-call vote (recorded ayes from Commissioners Burgos, Fung, Ramey, Snyder, Wold Patterson and the chair). The commission also approved a promotion without examination for Jennifer Gruner to police facilities assistant manager (Item 22, FPC 212292) and approved extensions of probationary periods for firefighter and detective positions where requested (Items 20 and 23).
• Department of Emergency Communications requested and received an extension of probationary periods for certain manager positions (Item 18, FPC 212287) due to consolidation timing and an impending city personnel pause tied to the Workday implementation.
All motions presented during the meeting carried. Where explicit roll-call votes were recorded the minutes reflect unanimous approval for those items.
