Grantsville — At its April 2 meeting the Grantsville City Council took the following formal actions:
• Resolution 2025-05 (Brentwood PUD, 810 East Main Street): Approved with corrected acreage (14.9 acres) and planning-commission conditions; motion carried by voice vote. Council required clarifying development-agreement language and amended access language to allow a gated emergency access rather than immediate full public access.
• Resolution 2025-22 (2025 interlocal election agreement): Approved on motion and second; council authorized an interlocal agreement for the 2025 election with the county.
• Resolution 2025-23 (SR 138 off-site water extension reimbursement agreement): Approved. Staff described a roughly half-mile connection to bring pressure zone 2 water from Bluegrass to Clark/Kent to improve pressure and redundancy; cost estimates discussed in the meeting varied among speakers (figures cited in the meeting included about $424,000 and a figure near $550,000). The council authorized the reimbursement agreement.
• Ordinance 2025-14 (amendment to public-sewer code, section 7-2-5): Approved as presented; committee/staff said the language aligns with previous discussions.
• Ordinance 2025-21 (amend chapter 17-4 regarding OHVs): Approved with clarifications about crossing points and age/street-legal distinctions; council directed the police chief to prepare a compliance/incident report for the first meeting in August.
• Annexation petition — Desert South: Council accepted a complete annexation petition (acceptance starts the statutory review process; acceptance is not a zoning or final annexation decision).
