Committee advances three DFW Airport board candidates after interviews

The Transportation and Infrastructure Committee held interviews on Nov. 18 for three candidates to the Dallas‑Fort Worth International Airport board and voted to forward all three to the full City Council.

Monica Lehi Bravo introduced herself as "a lifelong resident of Dallas" and an attorney who serves on the Dallas College Board of Trustees and chairs its finance committee. She told the committee she is "a big proponent of taking care of our employees" and described her approach to advocating for higher wages at DFW by phasing increases in tranches, citing Dallas College’s recent move to pay a living wage.

Vincent Hall, a long‑time Dallas resident who serves on multiple local boards including Parkland, said he would press for better pay and contractor transparency at DFW. He emphasized the board’s role in promoting small, local contractors and said he wants to help get Terminal F completed and manage growth with an eye to local business participation.

Incumbent Angela Hunt described ongoing capital work at the airport, saying, "We're investing $12,000,000,000 ... We're building a sixth terminal, Terminal F," and said she will continue to engage on living‑wage issues and maintain lines of communication with the FAA about federal staffing risks. Committee members pressed candidates on wage parity for contract workers, accessibility and operational issues; candidates described both policy and practical approaches they would pursue if appointed.

After the interviews, the committee took a motion and second to advance the three candidates to full council; members voted ‘aye’ and the motion passed.
