Board approves All Star pay application and two Clifty Drive change orders with NDOT

Madison, Ind. ' On Feb. 2 the Board of Public Works and Safety approved a pay application for All Star Paving and two change orders related to the city's Clifty Drive project with NDOT.
Chris, the city project representative, presented All Star Pay Application No. 6 for the Main Street CCMG project in the amount of $78,008.77, saying the main portion of the project is complete and the only outstanding work is an added mid-block crossing. "This wraps up all of the main portion of the Main Street project, with the only thing left to finish being the mid block crossing," Chris said. The board approved the pay application on a motion and recorded unanimous assent with no opposition noted in the transcript.
On the Clifty Drive project, Chris described two closing change orders. Change Order 14 granted a time extension because the work carried into a second season; it was a zero-cost adjustment so the contractor incurs no penalty. Change Order 15 documented NDOT's agreement to participate in asbestos water-line removal and is recorded as a deduct of $201,005.84 from prior contract amounts, which the presenter said will help bring the project closeout forward. The board approved both change orders on motion.
Next steps: staff will finalize change order paperwork with NDOT and proceed with remaining punch-list items and the mid-block crossing work on Main Street.
