Court approves fuel-pump replacements, electrical panel upgrade and several administrative contracts

At its July 7 meeting, Anderson County commissioners approved a package of capital, equipment and administrative items.
The court approved a request to increase Precinct 4 capital outlay to replace two failing fuel pumps and associated piping; staff presented a quote of $13,717.42 and the court approved budget amendment No. 62 to fund the work. Commissioners said the pumps were leaking and parts were no longer available.
The sheriff’s maintenance shop reported substandard wiring and recurring breaker failures; staff presented a $4,540 quote to upgrade to a 200‑amp panel and add outlets. The court approved the work and authorized capitalization to county capital outlay, approving an amount up to $5,000 to cover contingencies.
Separately, the court renewed a two‑year contract with Auctioneer Express to continue auction services, approved Resolution R062025 to apply for a HAVA security subgrant for elections equipment and polling‑place security, and authorized staff to submit an application to transition the county's commercial card program to US Bank under the state contract; county staff said current cards would remain active until the transition was complete.
