Energy Transfer donates $30,000 for emergency repairs on County Road 2608

Anderson County commissioners on July 7 accepted a $30,000 donation from Energy Transfer to repair damaged wing walls and stabilize County Road 2608 near gas-plant facilities.
Chris Hope, representing Energy Transfer, told the court the company proposed $15,000 per wing wall for two wing walls, for a total of $30,000, and said contractor Todd Winkler will perform the work on a turnkey basis. The work is intended to maintain passability of the road and prevent washout when water levels rise.
The court approved acceptance of the donation by voice vote. Commissioners said the donation will address an urgent roadway need and reinforced that the county will coordinate the repairs and oversight with the contractor and company representative.
