Commissioners approve routine items: vital-records vendor, employee lunch, cybersecurity training and land-use agreement

The Anderson County Commissioners Court cleared several administrative items on Dec. 1.
County Clerk staff and Commissioner Staples described a no-cost agreement with Permidian LLC that will allow residents and out‑of‑town users to submit birth-record applications online for a user fee; the court approved the agreement by voice vote.
The court set an expenditure cap of up to $5,500 for the county's employee recognition luncheon, with awards and plaques to be provided; that motion passed by voice vote.
Commissioners also authorized Anderson County's continued participation in the Texas Association of Counties cybersecurity training program and directed the County Judge to sign the renewal agreement.
Commissioner Chapin described a short-term land-use agreement with the Faith family permitting Precinct 1 Road & Bridge to enter newly acquired property to finish burning tree debris from prior operations; the court approved the agreement.
Earlier in the meeting the court approved the consent agenda (budget amendments, bills and minutes). The court adjourned following the day's business.
