Goshen City planning board members accepted two mayoral appointments and completed their yearly officer elections during a brief opening session. The mayor announced appointments of Tom Holstinger to a four-year term and Esten Bauer to a Land Commission/BCA seat; the terms were stated to run from 01/01/2026 through 12/31/2029. The board then moved to elect officers for the year: Tom Holstinger was asked to continue as chair, Matthew Fisher as vice president and Lee Rohn as secretary; the motion to elect officers carried on a voice vote.
After the elections, the board voted to accept the minutes and voted to file the zoning and subdivision staff reports into the public record. The secretary also reviewed the public hearing procedure to be followed for agenda items: staff report, petitioner presentation, public comment, and board decision.
The meeting then proceeded into the advertised agenda items on variances and extensions.
